DESIGNER TALK
'We've always been known for our monochromatic aesthetic but over the years, we have had more and more clients asking for colour.
I think especially in the time that we are living in, people are really wanting to uplift themselves in any way they can and for some that meant adding a splash of colour to their lives, whether it was a lipstick, a scarf or a whole ensemble.
It’s similar to when I put on a fragrance. I spray a scent depending on my mood, to make myself feel a certain way or as a mood enhancer.
And clothing can do that too. I usually only really wear black but in the last year I really craved dressing up and needed a sense of change.
Without travel and exploration, we've all had to find different ways to have new experiences, try new things. That's when we knew it was the right time to create a new sub-brand.
We are humans constantly evolving, and it's important that as a designer and creative person, that I continue to evolve myself, but also with our clients.
Ultimately we wanted to express and show a different side to ourselves, and I think a lot of people want to do that.'
