This fragrance was a sentimental journey for Alessandro. He was in love with an unattainable woman and he was really low and had hit rock bottom but he realised that strength comes through Fragility.
The fragrance is called China white because it is a play on Chinese porcelain and how delicate and fragile it is hence the lid is made of a breakable ceramic with a crackle glaze reflecting the precious porcelain china.
It is the only lid in the Nasomatto range that can break if you drop it, it will shatter into pieces. It is the longest formula of all of the Nasomatto fragrances and was made in the shortest amount of time.
This fragrance must be tried on skin to feel the full effect of this scent.
Cocaine?? There is another definition or story going around about China white.
There was atype ofcocaine that came from Asia, which had the street name of China white. This story has not come from Alessandro himself but a manifestation from the citizens of the world. The cocaine story makes sense too as when you take cocaine you’re up and feel strong but afterwards can feel quite fragile.
Both stories work and can be told and shared, because as Alessandro says 'My involvement is to create something that is alive and will be able to say new things. I want my perfumes to have an intelligence of their own, not just be slaves to my meaning'.
Words to describe the scent: Powdery, flowery yet woodsy and spicy, clean, can you smell tobacco? If not, what can you smell? Ask yourself how if makes you feel.
As with all Nasomatto fragrances, the whole packaging is made in Italy.
