Hi Everyone,
It's Sam here!
I hope you have all been well. This week I am following up from my previous blog post focusing on outerwear and jackets to now hone in on some brand-new unisex styles that have come into store recently. These are all tops and all come in a variety of colours for anyone looking to add some new shades to their wardrobe. These pieces can all be stand-alone or layered up beautifully under some of the coats and jackets I have previously mentioned. They are very wearable styles which can also be worn year-round when not worn paired with warmer outerwear.
Firstly, we have the Ronny Top.
This one is one of my personal favourites and we have re-done this style in numerous fabrics over the years. In particular, this new version comes in this-seasons signature Cotton-Spandex blend. This super crisp weave feels smooth to the touch and comfortable on the skin. With this combined with the oversized, block nature of the cut of the Ronny Top makes for an extremely wearable piece. The shape of the pattern is rectangular but when worn on-body it creates a unique u-shaped drape which trails to the side and lifts at the centre. This one looks great layered over a slimmer under-garment for a nice juxtaposition. It only comes in a one-size and Patrick is shown wearing it here. It is also his new favourite top for everyday wear! This one is available HERE and is available in Black, Aubergine, Ink, Light Green and Grey Blue.
Secondly, the Warper Long-Sleeve Crew.
I love this piece. The designers’ pattern-making skills are really showcased here with a twisting spiral seam holding the torso panel together which is my favourite detail. It also has a cowl-neck for unique fitment and extra drapery. Cut to an exaggerated length this one can perfectly balance out the proportions of any of our dropped-crotch pants. A perfect all-round top with unique detailing to make it stand out above other long-sleeve crews. I take a size 1 in this one as it is a little oversized. Patrick does the same HERE. This top comes in Black and Navy. It also is fabricated in Cotton-Spandex with an alternate weave to these other options.
Thirdly, the Miltons Top.
This top has a lovely silhouette. Similar to our ‘Drape’ shirts, it has two external panels attached to the body which cascade downwards, creating a waterfall-like effect on the torso. These panels are also tie-fastened for alternative styling. Aside from this major detail, it also has a crew-neck and extended sleeves. It really is an exaggerated top that is aggressive, but that is the point and those who like that will certainly be drawn to this piece. I take a size 1 as does Patrick, but it is available in black HERE in a full-size range.
Finally, the Matrix Top
After the success of the Memphis Top, we cut the Matrix Top in an alternative fabrication and with long-sleeves for a more cold-weather focused piece. Still boasting the same oversized and boxy cut of the original, the Matrix top is the perfect pop-over piece for going anywhere. The high neck and hood frame the face beautifully. It also has an oversized kangaroo-pouch patch pocket and raw edges at the hemline which is always a bonus. This one comes in 2 sizes; the only difference is a sleeve length between them. The size 3 sleeve length is 7.5cm longer than the Size 1. Patrick wears a size 3 as do I and it can be found HERE. It is available in Black, Ink (Navy) and Aubergine.
I hope some of these pieces intrigue you as they certainly grabbed my attention when they arrived. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me.
Have a wonderful day,
Your friend, Sam
